Executive flights
Siena Airport opened to commercial traffic in 1986 and, since then, it has been widely used for executive flights. Local entrepreneurs (many of them are in the banking field) are the most frequent users. During the last 2-3 years, also the number of flights dedicated to human organ tranportation and to air ambulance service (in connection with the Siena Hospital) has significantly increased.
